He later added a second tweet: "Authorities have informed us there is no sign of self harm at this point". An autopsy will be performed next week to determine the cause of death.

Eric Bolling's son was found dead on Friday, just hours after Fox News announced that it was parting ways with the former Fox News host.

An investigator with the coroner's office - without revealing Bolling's cause of death - said the office would continue to investigate the case. On social media, the ex-host would share photos of him and his only son spending time together.

"Adrienne and I are devastated by the loss of our beloved son Eric Chase last night", Bolling tweeted. "A true blessing", Bolling tweeted in April.

Additional details regarding Chase's death were not immediately available.

"The district is deeply saddened by the passing of Eric".

Despite his departure from the network, Fox News Channel also shared their condolences with Eric Chase's parents.

Bolling, who had been with Fox for the past 10 years, is accused by three female colleagues of sending them unsolicited text messages of a sexual nature, including images of male genitalia. Bolling Sr. initially denied the allegations and even said he would sue the writer for libel.

Sources told TMZ that Eric Chase was going through "emotional torture" because of his father's firing from the network. On Friday, Fox News announced Bolling had left.

Bolling's lawsuit states that he is seeking $50 million in damages over "the defendant's efforts to injure the plaintiff's reputation through the intentional and/or highly reckless publication of actionable false and misleading statements about the plaintiff's conduct and character".
