President Donald Trump made headlines yet again on Friday when he said NFL owners should fire "any son of a bitch" who doesn't stand and protest the national anthem.

Several players also kneeled, including Ameer Abdullah, Jalen Reeves-Maybin, Steve Longa, Tahir Whitehead, Cornelius Washington, A'Shawn Robinson, Akeem Spence and Jeremiah Ledbetter.

Rico LaVelle participated in the day's protests while singing the national anthem at the Detroit Lions - Atlanta Falcons game Sunday, taking a knee at the word "brave", lowering his head and raising his fist in the air.
