The French giants will be hoping that their lavish close-season spending can help finally achieve their Qatari owners' dream of lifting the European Cup.

Cavani has scored nine goals in all competitions - seven of those in Ligue 1, Neymar has contributed four domestically, while 18-year-old sensation Mbappe has hit the ground running since making his debut against Metz last week.

Emery admitted the stakes were higher this year following a busy summer.

Romelu Lukaku has previously played in the Champions League with his former club Anderlecht. That's how we play domestically and in other games in this competition and it has served us very well.

"There will be a lot of pressure, though, because they have joined the group of teams who are judged on whether they win the Champions League".

Mbappe is expected to make his move permanent in 12 months for a reported 180 million euros.

"We are happy about tonight but the work continues".

Mbappe's desire to return "home" was crucial for PSG because according to al-Khelafi "every big club wanted him".

PSG continued their ideal start to the season with a 5-0 romp of Celtic in the Champions League and as the capital club prepare for Lyon's visit on Sunday, Rabiot told reporters: "The fans are exhausted of this".

PSG will come up against an in-form Celtic side who are unbeaten in 54 domestic matches, and showed signs of promise in the group stages a year ago.

"We have a big squad, but there are a lot of games".

"Preparation is everything. We have prepared well all week but we must give Celtic the respect they deserve", Emery added.

Paris Saint-Germain Captain, Thiago Silva disclosed that the arrivals of Neymar, Kylian Mbappe and Dani Alves have created a feeling that the Les Parisiens are ready to compete for this season's Champions League title.

"If you bring in the wrong one then it can disrupt your changing room and that isn't what we want to do, especially when we have talents here that we can develop and who can gain experience".

The world's most expensive frontline produced a potent display of force to sweep Celtic aside, inflicting the heaviest home European defeat on the Scottish side.
