While there is a thread open at the Nexus Help Forum, no information is forthcoming, and more people have been reporting the problem over on Artem's Google+ post over the last eleven weeks than through the official support channels.

It is not announced that it won't be receiving any Android updates further. Google is doggedly working on a fix, which is good news. This would be a downgrade to Android Nougat and doesn't make much sense now that Google's shifted to a new operating system. But yes Google will still be sending you the monthly security patch.

When the updates for Google devices are ready, you'll find the factory images here and full OTA images here.

ASUS ZenFone 5, LG Nexus 5, Motorola Nexus 6, OnePlus One, OnePlus 5 (on experimental basis), Sony Xperia SP, Xperia T, Xperia TX, Xperia V, Samsung Galaxy S6, Galaxy Note 10.1 2014, Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Snapdragon edition, Mi Max, Mi 3, Mi 4 and Mi 5 are the handsets for which the AOSP Oreo is available.

Google's Nexus Android 8.0 Oreo updates are loaded up with new features including new emojis characters, redesigned emojis, improvements to notifications, security enhancements, Picture-in-Picture mode, and other performance improvements.

The AOSP ROM has been made by S.I.X a team of developers which is a near stable ROM based on Oreo.

Have you been experiencing this issue on your Pixel or Nexus smartphone? Also, Oreo is not yet available for every device, and most phones are still waiting for it. Talking about more options, there are many more features like gesture settings, battery light customization etc. While some carriers still allow their users to use certain apps like Whatsapp even if they have used all of their mobile data, Android Oreo does not realize this yet.
