Wenger eyes Sanchez deal as PSG focus on Mbappe

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has admitted that he is uncertain whether the club can convince Alexis Sanchez to sign a new contract.

According to the information portal of the British "Daily Mail" in the "Arsenal" strongly trying to make with Sanchez new long-term contract.

The Chile forward missed pre-season after being granted extra time off following the Confederations Cup and has been ruled out of Friday's game due to an abdominal strain.

Arsene Wenger continues to insist Sanchez will not be sold this summer, and speculation has claimed he is now willing to remain at the club for one more season.

"Sanchez will not be available", said the Arsenal manager.

Sanchez sustained the injury during a training session ahead of the Community Shield and Wenger admits he is unsure just how long the 28-year-old will be out.

Ozil missed the Community Shield win over Chelsea on Sunday after taking a kick to the ankle in training, but hinted on Twitter that he should be fit to face Leicester.

"We didn't manage to do that last season so I'm not super optimistic in that regard, but we have the firm intention of not selling him".

When asked if Arsenal have received any bids from PSG for the 28-year-old, Wenger replied: "I can not tell you that". We think he will not play at Stoke.

However, reports in the Sun on Friday stated Arsenal will offer Alexis £300,000-a-week to try and keep him at the club and away from any potential suitors.

You do not want a moping, unhappy player in the change room, bringing you down, especially when the going starts to get a little tough.

Arsenal attacking midfielder Mesut Ozil will sign a new contract that will see him earn more than £220,000 per week. "I think if you read the French papers, they are on Mbappe's case to finish their transfer market".
