'Toilet: Ek Prem Katha' box office collection Day 1!

The film follows the story of a newly Wednesday couple played by Akshay Kumar and Bhumi Pednekar who live in a small town. The film deals with the need of sanitization and addresses the problem of open defecation in India.

Actors Akshay Kumar and Bhumi Pednekar starrer satire film "Toilet Ek Prem Katha" has received a good response on Day 1 at Box Office by Collecting over Rs 13 crore on its opening day. Taran Adarsh, film critic, and trade analyst took to micro-blogging site Twitter to share the first-day collection of Akshay Kumar and Bhumi Pednekar-starrer "Toilet Ek Prem Katha". "Toilet: Ek Prem Katha" has been directed by Shri Narayan Singh and it is produced by Viacom18 Motion Pictures. Sat and Sun look better. Releasing on 3000 screens in India, the romantic satire celluloid raked Rs 14 crore (according to producer's estimation) on 1st day of its release. Biz to get big boost on Tue [Independence Day].

The movie is a comedy genre based on the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, The story revolves around the two main characters of movie Akshay and Bhumi.
