Texans unable to return to Houston

Detroit Lions safety Glover Quin, who played for the Texans for four seasons, lives just outside Houston in the offseason, and his wife, Gladys, and their children are still there.

The catastrophic rain and flooding in Houston from Hurricane Harvey (now a tropical storm) has left the nation's fourth-largest city in a state of emergency as the storm is expected to continue for the coming days. "Unfortunate thing, but we are thinking about the people back home more than us".

Instead of flying back to Houston, the team will instead head to Dallas.

"I'm sitting here watching the news, checking the internet for everything that's going on with Hurricane Harvey and the damage it's causing back home".

The Jaguars play the Texans in Jacksonville on December 17 and there is a chance that the games could be swapped, playing in Jacksonville for the opener and in Houston in December. "We aren't going to be able to go back to Houston tonight".

Cowboys vice president Stephen Jones offered to host the preseason game if necessary. Houston has a 1-2 record this preseason.
