Inspired by the women's success, the men's team of Juwaidi Mazuki, Zulfadhli Ruslan and Lee Kin Lip dominated their final against Singapore, never trailing to post a comfortable 228-222 win.

Malaysia will face Myanmar tomorrow in the event held on a round robin which also involved three other teams - Thailand, Vietnam and Indonesia.

The Republic won two bronze medals in archery - in the men's individual and team recurve events - at the previous Games on home soil.

Archery medal table after two days of competition: Malaysia - 2 gold, 1 silver, 1 bronze; Indonesia - 2 gold, 1 bronze; Vietnam - 2 silver; Singapore - 1 silver; Philippines - 2 bronze. Oanh got 142 points in total, behind her Indonesian rival Sri Ranti with 144 points.

"I dedicate this gold medal to all Malaysians, particularly to my family and wife who are unable to come down", he said.
