Google's brand of VR is, at last, beginning to arrive on Samsung devices.

Google's Daydream VR support for the Galaxy S8 and the S8 Plus smartphones was announced a couple of months back. It already started and Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus already got the Daydream support via OTA update.

When we originally reviewed the S8 in conjunction with the new Gear VR + its controller, we called it the best mobile VR combination available. Do you own both a View headset and a Gear VR that you still use? By making Daydream VR available for Galaxy S8 duo, the popularity of Google's VR would increase all the more.

The above tweet from the official Google VR Twitter handle is another confirmation that Daydream-ready update would be soon coming to Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+.

These handsets will be capable of working with the Google Daydream View headset, which features a unique cloth-like exterior. Explore new worlds with #Daydream.

Don't panic if you don't see the Daydream app on your device quite yet as the company said that the "update will take time to finish rolling out". "Designing apps for VR is substantially different than for other platforms, particularly because poorly designed applications or performance issues can make some users feel nauseated", Google explained on its app quality requirements page.
