Neymar's Paris Saint-Germain career got off to a stunning start on Sunday as he scored one and created another in a 3-0 win at Guingamp.

The world's most expensive player was allowed to take to the pitch at the Stade de Roudourou after the French Football Federation confirmed they had received the relevant paperwork for the £199million signing.

After the first half finished 0-0, Jordan Ikoko scored a barely believable own goal seven minutes after the break. The assist was for Edison Cavani's 62nd minute goal.

The lead was doubled 10 minutes later as Neymar played in Cavani with a well-weighted pass and the Uruguayan made no mistake from close range.

Neymar's throughball was cut out and ran to Ikoko but his pass back to Johnsson was heavy and wide of the goalkeeper, who had to stretch with his foot and could not prevent the ball rolling in off the left-hand post.

Starting on the left of a front three also featuring Cavani and Angel Di Maria, but given considerable licence to roam, the 25-year-old produced plenty of impressive moments in what will surely go down as a memorable start to his PSG career.

Cavani returned the favour for Neymar late on, selflessly teeing up the former Barca man to poke home the first of what looks likely to be many goals for Paris (82').
