JOSE MOURINHO says it is now HIS team at Manchester United - after turning the club around.

Attack: Jesse Lingard played in the unfamiliar left wing-back role against Madrid but was hooked at half-time so I think we'll see him make way with Marcus Rashford coming in to the attack.

Mourinho insists he is content with the United board's efforts in the market and will not protest if the club are unable to bring in a new addition before the window shuts. After a first season of transition, Mourinho must stamp his authority on this team and is under a lot of pressure to deliver the coveted Premier League title.

'Of course to buy lots of good players is important and better squads are better equipped to win the title. Eric Bailly, bought a year ago for £30m, and Antonio Valencia, are the only two defenders who look assured of a starting spot.

'When I joined Man United previous year, I thought immediately that we needed a kind of Matic.

'When I got a call that Matic wants to play for me, I thought he was the ideal player for me.

"I am happy that the club managed to do 75 per cent of the work before the Premier League starts and, if until Aug 31 the remaining 25 per cent don't arrive, I will not moan".

"We are going to try to give a hard fight to the top teams in Europe in the Champions League".

'I'm on fire, ' he smiled when asked to describe his mood.

"I just think naturally that a manger in the second season knows the players better, knows the club better". We are much better organised at every level.

Express Sport has had a go at predicting how each of the weekend's fixtures will play out - do you agree?

"I think he's one of those players where there are no question marks in front".

Mourinho has won the domestic league title at the end of his second year in each of his five major management jobs.

"With these players I am looking forward to the season with optimism, with enthusiasm, I can't wait for the Champions League to start and the chance to play the top clubs".

"He's one of those players who gives me what I like in a player, which is consistency".

On the prospect of re-signing Ibrahimovic once the 35-year-old striker has recovered, Mourinho said: "We are having conversations and discussing the possibility of him staying for the second part of the season".

"So we will go for it this season".

"I don't think I'm in a position of crying, moaning, protesting".

Arsenal legend Martin Keown has written in The Daily Mail that Dwight Gayle will be the key player for Newcastle United this season. I want, I want!
