Finding it hard to get excited about what feels like Lenovo's hundredth Moto-branded smartphone release of this year, especially when it was expected to happen nearly two months ago and it's still not out yet?

The leaked images were obtained by Tudocelular.

Moto X4 new images reveal a premium glass and metal body design in black colour variant. The phone will also feature a front-mounted fingerprint sensor with some gesture support, similar to what we have seen in recent Moto devices like the Moto G5 and G5 Plus, Moto Z2 Play and so on.

This means, the handset sports a circular dual camera setup at the back.

The other issue with the Gamepad mod's availability is that it will only be sold through Verizon, though it seems you'll still be able to purchase it even if you're on another carrier. At the top, there is one antenna band along with a microphone and SIM slot, while at the base, one will find a USB Type-C port along with a 3.5mm headphone jack. Under the hood, it could come with an Octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 or Snapdragon 660 processor clocked at 2.2GHz. Last but not least, both smartphones will be equipped with 32GB or 64GB of internal storage space which can be expanded up to 256GB via a microSD card.

On the specs angle, the smartphone is expected to launch with a 5.2-inch FHD AMOLED display with the resolution of 1080×1920 pixels.

The current expected announcement date is the 24th of August with Motorola apparently scheduling an event in Sao Paulo Brazil. Motorola also boasts of up to eight hours of battery life from a single charge of the 1035 mAh built-in battery. Moto X4 will run Android 7.1.1 Nougat.
