Light plane flips and crashes at Queensland airport

Aerial photos showed the Sling 4 plane was extensively damaged in the crash. It is understood the pilot was still trapped an hour after the crash.

Those three were in a stable condition on the Sunshine Coast.

"The situation is under control, there's no risk of fire or explosion and all passengers have been removed from the aircraft".

A single-engine private plane crashed Friday near the Lenawee County Airport, injuring the two people on board, Lenawee County Undersheriff Troy Bevier said.

They were taken to a Toledo-area hospital.

The woman then led authorities to the crash site and the man.

A Queensland Police spokesman told 9news.com.au one person has since been freed while crews are still working to free the pilot.

Emergency services were called about 11.45am (local time) on Saturday after the plane was believed to have stalled, flipped and ended up in bushes upside down beyond the runway.

The FAA is investigating exactly what happened and why.
