Kriti Sanon doesn't want to be perceived as Sushant Singh Rajput's girl

"Hollywood films are becoming more integral to the box office and the audience is not making a distinction in films anymore", says Shailesh Kapoor of Ormax Media, a firm specialising in trade insights.

Movie critic and business analyst Taran Adarsh on Wednesday took to Twitter to confirm the same.

2017 witnessed a trend where rooted films have performed well at the box office.

Bareilly Ki Barfi released along with Partition: 1947 and VIP 2: Lalkar on August 25.

The movie hit the Indian silver screen on Friday. The film is set in Bareilly in Uttar Pradesh. Kapoor adds that the film has so far done fairly well and could collect Rs 25 crore if the positive word of mouth keeps the footfalls going. Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt were seen as the lead pair who are on a run to achieve their dreams.

Toilet: Ek Prem Katha: The movie is based on the issue of open defecation. "I am glad that with "Bareilly Ki Barfi", my work is being appreciated and spoken about", says Sanon. According to a latest update, the film has earned as much as Rs 2 crore on Tuesday taking the total collection to Rs 15.42 crore. The film has been garnering love from all the quarters. Ayushmann and Rajkummar also deserve a pat on their back for taking the rom-com to another level.

The actor is said to be receiving enormous praise for his role as Chirag Dubey in the film, which also stars Kriti Sanon and Rajkummar Rao.
