Jio Effect: RCom Introduces Rs

The company has announced a new plan that offers unlimited calls, data and text for Rs 299. After the offer period of three months end, the users are expected to be charged Rs 500 for 600 GB broadband data at 100Mbps speed, while for 1000 GB data, subscribers will have to pay Rs 2,000 per month. Anil Ambani's RCom has been struggling to cope up with the growing competition from other telecom operators in the market.

RCom's newest rental plan has been introduced to challenge the legendary companies like Airtel, Vodafone, and Jio. Again, last month, a picture was found surfing on Reddit - the American social news discussion website which gave us a glimpse of what the JioFiber plans may act like. Under this, 4G SIM and 1GB data are being given for one year in a plan of Rs 5,199.

RCom has in the past blamed "freebies" offered by a new telecom operator - an apparent reference Reliance Jio run by his elder brother Mukesh Ambani- for woes of the telecom sector.

Also, RCom announced Wi-Pod dongle at a cost of Rs.3,200 which offers 365 days of validity. It comes with 1GB of 4G data per day for 84 days, as well as discount coupons and a free messenger bag. Vodafone also launched a new plan, the First Recharge (FR) - 445, aimed at new 4G prepaid users in Maharashtra and Goa. The Rs 349 plan offer Jio Prime members 20GB unlimited data at 128kbps with no cap on data consumption for 56 days while the Rs 399 plan offers 84GB data (1GB per day at 128kbps) for 84 days.

At present, Dhan Dhan is being offered by Reliance Jio for Rs 399. It looks like because of Jio effect RCom Launches Unlimited calls and Data for Rs.299.
