It was a lost weekend for the seemingly playoff-bound Colorado Rockies, and Miami Marlins slugger Giancarlo Stanton was a big reason why.

Stanton blasted an opposite-field solo shot in the bottom of the third inning against Colorado Rockies right-hander German Marquez.

"He can get 70", Ozuna said, via Clark Spencer of the Miami Herald.

Arenado came into Sunday's game hitting.313 with 26 home runs and a major league-high 100 RBIs. Guerra entered with runners at second and third and no outs in the fifth but kept the Rockies from scoring. That includes Odrisamer Despaigne, who pitched a scoreless ninth to earn his first major-league save.

Stanton acknowledged Saturday that he is on one of the hottest stretches of his eight-year career. Most times, when you break, muscles get super tight.

As Stanton reflected on tying the team home run record, he talked about growing up in Los Angeles and attending Dodgers games when Sheffield played for them after leaving the Marlins.

In his last 10 games, Stanton has nine homers.

Rockies: RHP Chad Bettis will complete his comeback from chemotherapy for testicular cancer by starting Monday night's game in Denver against Atlanta.

NOTES: Rockies rookie 1B Ryan McMahon, who made his first big-league start, got an eighth-inning single for his first hit.
