They even expected him to do that in the Hindi remake of OK Kanmani (which was later made with Aditya Roy Kapur in the lead as OK Jaanu). But it looks like he finally got the movie to make that transition to Bollywood. Abhishek Bachchan was initially approached to play the part but it seems that the actor couldn't allot dates because the schedule was clashing with his other film, JP Dutta's Paltan which has already gone on floors. Khurana has co-written the script with Hussain Dalal who was the dialogue writer of Yeh Jawaani hai Deewani.

"It's a light-hearted comedy that will see Dulquer and Irrfan as friends on a road trip". The shoot for his film will begin in September first week and locations will be the picturesque locales of Ooty and Kochi. The Malayalam heartthrob will be soon venturing into the Bollywood space along with Irrfan Khan and Mithila Palkar. On the otherside, Dulquer is eagerly waiting for the release of Malayalam-Tamil film Solo, directed by Bejoy Nambiar. All in all, Mammootty could not find much success in Bollywood. He is also playing an important role in actor Soubin Shahir's directorial debut Parava.
