At the meeting, aspects relating to ensuring smooth passage in case of emergencies and ensuring that commotion and melee does not affect rescue or preventive efforts were discussed. The call was made from North East Delhi and the caller's phone is registered from Western Uttar Pradesh. However, nothing has been revealed yet through preliminary searches.

Ahead of the Independence Day celebrations, Delhi was on high alert all these days.

However, the call was found to be a hoax, policed said.

The call sparked panic as it comes six years after 11 people were killed and 80 others were injured in an attack outside the Delhi High Court in September 2011. Prior to that, a low-intensity blast had occurred at the High Court outside Gate No. 7 on May 25, 2011 but no casualty was reported.
