Coolpad Cool Play 6 teasers released ahead of launch

Coolpad has announced its latest smartphone, the Cool M7 at an event in China. The device features an all-metal build with a rounded design that is now synonymous with other Chinese smartphones in the same range. The Cool M7 is a mid-range device with mid-range hardware and is priced at CNY 2699 (approximately Rs 25,000). However, there is still no word about the phone's worldwide availability from the Chinese company.

Coolpad Cool M7 sports a 5.5 inch Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) 2.5D curved Display protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 4. Moreover, the Cool M7 smartphone is also enriched by a dedicated amplifier (DAC) for an immersive audio experience. The smartphone is powered by a 2GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor with Adreno 506 GPU. The phone is now listed in leading online Chinese retailer, and its sale will start on August 26, 2017.

Coming to the design language, the Coolpad Cool M7 flaunts tapered and rounded edges on a metal unibody structure for a premium feel as well as looks.

Cool M7 features a 3,200mAh battery. That being said, Despite the large battery, the device is just 6.9 mm thick and weighs a mere 152 grams. The fixed focus front-facing camera comes with 13-megapixel with f/2.2 aperture and 79.8-degree wide angle lens. The chipset is paired with the 4GB RAM inbuilt memory and non-expandable 64GB internal storage.

Its connectivity options include 4G, LTE, 3G, GPRS/EDGE, Wi-Fi, GPS/AGPS, GLONASS, Wi-Fi Direct, WLAN, Bluetooth, USB OTG, and USB Type-C. The camera comes with f/2.0 aperture and dual-tone LED flash.

The lack of a fingerprint scanner at the back means it is embedded into the Home button.
