Two young babysitters from MA face charges after they allegedly posted a Snapchat of them putting a baby in a refrigerator.

The disturbing video shows the baby crying before being put inside the refrigerator by one of the teenagers.

The infant survived and is expected to be fine.

The juveniles are charged with child endangerment and assault and battery by means of a risky weapon, that being the refrigerator.

The two teens, whose names have not been released due to their ages, were arrested in Danvers, Mass., Tuesday and charged with child endangerment and assault and battery by means of a unsafe weapon, WBZ-TV reported. Police said the child was not hurt in the incident and is now at home with family.

"I was just traumatized by it", the mother said. "I don't want anyone near my child anymore", the mother, who did not want to be identified, told WCVB in Boston.

The mother of the 8-month-old told WBZ-TV that her 15-year-old niece and her 14-year-old friend watched the child for a half an hour while she showered.

The baby's mother says the girls thought it was a joke and she doesn't believe they would harm the baby in any way. "I feel like they learned from this lesson and they won't do it again". I know she wouldn't hurt my daughter and that wasn't her intentions. "I think it was all foolishness, stupidity", said Bonnie.

She says the baby is fine, but she'll be hesitant about leaving her with anyone again. The Department of Children and Families is also involved in the investigation. "You can't trust anyone, not even your own family".

The Essex County District Attorney's Office said the two girls were arrested Tuesday in Danvers, Massachusetts.
