Despite conceding three goals against Leicester, goalkeeper Petr Cech on Saturday hailed Arsenal's "beautiful" come-from-behind 4-3 Premier League victory on Friday night.

Two minutes later, the comeback was complete, with super-sub Giroud sending the home fans wild via magnificent header from a Xhaka corner, despite being held by Wes Morgan.

After that, though, Leicester City had the Gunners on the ropes for most of the game, taking a 3-2 lead in the second half off of Jamie Vardy's second goal of the match.

But then Arsenal's super-subs came to the rescue: Aaron Ramsey drew the scores on 83 minutes, before Giroud's sublime header gave the Gunners all three points.

Giroud then sent the previously despondent Arsenal fans wild when he headed the 85th minute victor from a corner, Leicester keeper Kasper Schmeichel only managing to turn the ball onto the underside of the bar before it bounced over the line.

"You know, I must say I opened the door for him at some stage because I know that it's important for him to play". In the end he chose to stay and it was one of the great days of the recent weeks for me. It was one of the great days of recent weeks for me because I know how important he is.

Asked if Giroud could still leave before the transfer window closes on August 31 until January, Wenger replied: "No. He has a big weight in the squad and it was a relief for me that he made a decision to stay".

To think, we have an entire opening weekend to go yet, as well as an entire season. "Overall I must say we kept going and the spirit of the team was absolutely outstanding and overall you could say as well we were punished on every single mistake tonight by a Leicester team who was very efficient going forward", Wenger said after the win, as quoted on Arsenal's official site. "We were quite good previous year on corners and overall I believe that with a bit of work we can get that out of the system".
