"If Nathaniel Chalobah or Ruben Loftus-Cheek were still there they could get rid of Matic and play a younger kid".

Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has been speaking about the sale of Nemanja Matic, and has explained just why he was so angry at Chelsea for the sale - and it's not just because it has allowed Manchester United to bolster their side.

Rose, 27, wants to win trophies and could quit Spurs for a move to a Premier League rival.

Ryan Giggs has backed Paul Pogba to significantly increase his goal tally this season and believes he could be the key to helping Manchester United regain the Premier League for the first time since 2013.

Chelsea have added Tiémoué Bakayoko to their midfield ranks to provide cover for Matic's departure. You've got to understand what the club is all about.

"They have weakened their own team and strengthened Manchester United, who now have a better chance of winning the Premier League than Chelsea". He is probably the best in England alongside N'Golo Kante.

However, and despite Conte's persistent grumblings about the lack of depth in his squad, the Serbian enforcer has not only left Chelsea, but also strengthened the ranks of a direct rival in Man United.

The Chelsea manager's sentiments have been echoed by club captain Gary Cahill, who has described to great detail how good Matic was at shielding the defense in Conte's attack-minded 3-4-3 formation.

Chelsea secured the services of Bakayoko from Monaco and still has Kante on his roster.

Conte's most recent interview, given with Sky Sports on Wednesday, has given the clearest indication that the 29-year-old's sale was not to his liking. Is Tiemoue Bakayoko, a £35million signing, a similar type of player to Matic? He will take time to settle.

United could hand Premier League debuts to all three of their new additions against West Ham on Sunday.
