The new Jaguar E-Pace configurator is already live on Jaguar's website, where you can build and specify your flawless E-Pace - and it could cost £60k. Rachel Burgess takes an in-depth and exclusive first look.

We already like the marketing team from Jaguar - short and few teasers ahead of the introduction, an official reveal with another Guinness World Record just like it happened with the F-Pace and after the model has been unwrapped lots of explanations about the features of the newest model in the range. The stunt that was performed to reveal the Jaguar E-Pace was inspired from Roger Moore's famous twist in James Bond classic.

Behind the wheel was stunt driver Terry Grant, who has completed stunts on many film sets and holds an impressive 21 world records. The jaguar E-Pace launched itself with a 270-degree corkscrew. At the official unveiling of the auto, Jaguar had then attempted and broken the Guinness world record with the loop-the-loop stunt.

The new vehicle is a smaller version of the company's F-Pace and JLR is hoping it will allow it to better compete with the likes of BMW and Mercedes.

A "launch edition" model is also expected to be available.

According to the company most of the features will be high across most of the variants.

But that headline starting price will only buy you the entry-level E-PAce D150 manual with front-wheel drive.

Five powertrains will be offered in the E-Pace, across three petrol and two diesel engines. The 297 bhp petrol variant is capable of hitting 0-100 kmph in 5.9 seconds.

With a starting price of 28, 500 in United Kingdom the Jaguar E-Pace is expected to be introduced in the Indian market with a larger price tag which may be above Rs. 24 lakh.
