"Simple accumulated data can not be used as evidence to question China's severe attitude in carrying out UN Security Council resolutions", Huang told a news briefing.

The draft report says that the North's ballistic missile development has four characteristics: longer ranges, growing sophistication for a so-called saturation attack, pursuit of secrecy, and a wider variety of launch forms.

"Trade between China and North Korea grew nearly 40 percent in the first quarter".

The North Korean government said its missiles can hit anywhere in the world with a nuclear warhead, but the USA government doubts the regime of Kim Jong Un has developed a miniaturized warhead or delivery vehicle needed to accomplish that.

North Korea's ICBM is likely a deterrent, nothing more, as actually firing one off would be suicidal. The two countries trade products such as coal and oil, which are particularly valuable for energy-poor North Korea.
