With several new champions and a few titles that will need new contenders, matches began to unfold on the blue brand.

As we now know, Jinder Mahal is still your WWE Champion. Here are the latest "SmackDown" results for July 25th from Richmond, Virginia.

As noted, AJ Styles was a heavy betting favorite in his match against Kevin Owens at this past Sunday's WWE Battleground pay-per-view once the smart money came in.

Owens got straight on the microphone to demand a one-on-one rematch next week to cap off an extraordinary turn of events.

- AJ Styles def. Kevin Owens & Chris Jericho: Jericho and Styles team up on Owens right off the opening bell. Jericho demanded his rematch for the title now that he's back.

Kevin Owens is visibly upset with Shane McMahon and accuses Shane of booking the Triple Threat because he doesn't like him. Deep Six gets two but End of Days is broken up.

A "SmackDown" women's division tag team match featured Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch teaming up against Tamina and Lana. Flair knocked Tamina off the ring apron and then hit Lana with a big boot to get the pin. With a little help from the returning Great Khali, the Modern Day Maharaja survived a grueling Punjabi Prison Match against Randy Orton. He spoke in his native language about his next opponent and mentioned #John Cena's name. Before Cena can say anything, Mahal tells Cena that he knows what Cena is about to say, but Cena stops him. SummerSlam is around the corner, so it's possible WWE brought him in for just the one PPV that takes place on Sunday, August 20. Owens starts walking to the back, and Jericho tells him to get back to the ring but Owens declines. He begins to address his people in his language, and is then interrupted by John Cena's entrance. D-Bry makes a match next week, John Cena versus Shinsuke Nakamura to determine who will face Jinder at SummerSlam.

The Usos laid out New Day and talked some trash before leaving the scene.

Afterward, Shane McMahon announced the main event for SmackDown Live - Owens vs. Jericho vs. Styles for the United States Championship. The triple threat match featured plenty of action with all three competitors gaining an advantage at different times in the match.

The finish of the match was awkward, which saw Owens roll Styles over while in the Crossface as a groggy referee counted three. Styles got to the top rope but Owens sent him to the outside floor. Owens went up top and hit a Frog Splash. Jericho showed no signs of ring rust (he has been doing house shows) and Kevin and AJ continue to have incredible chemistry.

Post-match, Kevin Owens got on the mic to complain about the unfairness of having to defend his title tonight in a triple threat.
