The Blues have been searching for a top class striker with Pierre Emerick Aubameyang subject to a £63 million bid from Chelsea while Antonio Conte keeps monitoring the situation at Real Madrid, as he prepares to bring in Alvaro Morata, according to reports.

The news on Chelsea needing a striker is not new after the club lost out on Romelu Lukaku to Manchester United.

Aguero has evolved into a hero during his six-year stay at the Etihad, and his Premier League winning goal against Queens Park Rangers will forever be remembered as it helped the club gain their first English title in 44 years. He has brought in Gabriel Jesus, has maintained faith in the Brazilian young forward and seems keen on playing with one striker upfront, which means Aguero will be relegated to the bench.

Yesterday's incredible claim by Spanish journalist Manu Sainz that Chelsea want to sign Sergio Agüero was met with a mixture of disbelief and anger on social media by City fans. Pep is said to be desperate for a reunion with Arsenal's Alexis Sanchez this summer, and City could potentially accept a hefty sum for Aguero in order to concentrate on a deal for the Chilean. It is hard to believe that Manchester City would sell to a direct title rival, especially after Chelsea won the Premier League last term.
