New Xiaomi 5X Leak Hints at Snapdragon 660 SoC Among Other Features

This new leak comes in the form of a poster. About the brand or the smartphone, the company hasn't revealed any details. Recently, an image of a mysterious Xiaomi smartphone has leaked online, and this report suggests the device in the picture is Xiaomi 5X. The latest leak shows the specifications and price of upcoming Xiaomi Phone. The poster reveals that the Xiaomi 5X would be coming with a 5.5-inch display that will probably support full HD resolution. Rumors claim that this handset could be the first to come under Lanmi sub-brand.

While Xiaomi's Mi series has proved to be quite popular among consumers, they are primarily sold online in most markets. It could come with two variants: Snapdragon 625 and Snapdragon 630 processor. Consequently, this leak should be taken with a pinch of salt as the handset's specs could change when the phone is officially announced.

The high-end variant of the Xiaomi 5X will be powered by the Snapdragon 660 SoC, clubbed with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. It is not mentioned if the storage space can be further expanded or not. For camera department, Xiaomi Redmi 5 will ship with a rear front 16-megapixel camera with LED flash and a 5-megapixel front camera.

The Xiaomi Redmi 5 will be backed up by a 3,680mAh non-removable battery with Quick Charge 3.0 technology and will be powered by Android 7.1.1 Nougat operating system with yet-unreleased MIUI 9.0 on top of it. The dual-sim based Redmi 5 will also sport with a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor, located just middle of the back panel of the smartphone. There is no information on whether there will be an option of expandable memory.

However, these are all leaks and rumours, we will request our readers to wait till the official disclosure from the company for any confirmation. Another phone could feature the same processor setup but with a lower display resolution.
