According to a post on an Russo Brothers' Instagram account, the team who directed last year's critically and commercially successful Captain America: Civil War, have wrapped shooting the much anticipated third Avengers film.

The Russos show a clever pun with their "One Down" caption to the photo which shows one of them laid down on the ground between two trailers. They bring him inside the ship, and he asks what's going on.

Avengers: Infinity War is the first in a two-part Avengers series that will effectively end this phase of the current Marvel Cinematic Universe cycle.

The trailer - screened exclusively for attendees and not simultaneously released online - begins with The Guardians of the Galaxy on their ship, floating through a creepy section of space. Originally, the fourth film was titled Avengers: Infinity War Part 2, but was later changed. These, paired with the film's recent promotion at the Disney D23 Expo, are getting fans excited. Another interesting thing to note is four statues behind Thanos that are now being covered with a sign stating, "Display to be revealed Saturday".

Josh Brolin (Thanos) led the group, followed by Paul Bettany, Elizabeth Olsen, Pom Klementieff, Karen Gillan, Dave Bautista, Don Cheadle, Sebastian Stan, Anthony Mackie, Benedict Cumberbatch, Tom Holland (Spider-Man), Chadwick Boseman (Black Panther), Mark Ruffalo (Hulk), Chris Hemsworth (Thor), and Robert Downey Jr.
