Without Markelle Fultz, the Sixers will have to hold off on matching up the top two draft picks of this season's NBA Draft, as Lonzo Ball is expected to take the floor tonight. Who can blame them?

Ball's emergence in summer league has excited the Lakers' coaching staff and those watching from courtside seats, including Lakers head coach Luke Walton and assistant Jesse Mermuys. "It's just a tough loss for us". These match-ups were rarely even televised. It's really good to see his composure on the court. He did not. You can chalk that up to first-game jitters.

Ball tried to jog it off in a back hallway in the third quarter, but he was hobbling a little bit and was shut down for the remainder of the game. And after sitting out the next game against college rival Da'aaron Fox, the skeptics quickly returned. Edy Tavares added six points, six rebounds and three blocks in 15 minutes.Ball added five steals to go with his triple-double. Ball also said that Lonzo wearing different sneakers is their way of making the statement that big brands should have had an open mind at the negotiating table. "You know, I'm just moving on from summer league now and getting ready for training camp".

Ball looked fine Wednesday while playing against a Philadelphia team playing without Markelle Fultz, the player drafted before Ball who is sitting out with an ankle injury. His 9.8 assists per game are on pace to break the event's record.

Of the four starters he has faced at Summer League, only one - Cleveland third-stringer Kay Felder - played in the National Basketball Association a year ago. For beginners, the Summer League game is only 40 minutes long, which gives players less time to accumulate a triple-double. That's called star power. "It was D'Angelo who was initially hailed as the next great passer brought in to save the Lakers" sinking ship. But after a three-pointer from Lakers forward Matt Thomas, the Mavericks trailed 42-29 with 7:38 left in the half. There is a particular shoe that is my go-to, On's, made in Europe. We'll see Lonzo wearing another brand throughout certain points of the season, depending on what mood he's in.
