The game will be a cooperative experience and Disney is planning to announce additional characters at San Diego Comic Con.

The company has now revealed Powers United VR, a virtual reality game that will let you immerse yourself in a virtual version of Marvel's massive universe. It's become rather obvious that Marvel has been pushing Captain Marvel as a character quite heavily, but people don't seem to be taking to her all that well. Heroes revealed so far include the Hulk, Rocket Raccoon, and Captain Marvel. Suit up, power up, and team up with friends to engage in immersive, explosive co-op fights from across the Marvel Universe.

Due for release sometime in 2018, Powers United VR is being developed by Sanzaru Games and Oculus, meaning it's going to be an exclusive for the Oculus Rift headset (sorry, HTC Vive owners).

There's a fourth character on the roster that doesn't get any air time in the trailer, a certain Ronan the Accuser. They will get to pick their favorite Marvel heroes. Move freely through iconic environments on the ground, in-flight, or with special moves with intuitive controls and smart locomotion. Immortalize your achievements with custom comic covers and share them on Facebook with the in-game comic cover feature.

Heroes earn many rewards-prove yourself on the battlefield and unlock new content, surprises, and more! Players will traverse various worlds via a first-person perspective and use the Rift's motion controllers to independently operate weapons and powers assigned to both hands.
