Ajay Devgn Launches Striking Poster of 'Taanaji' on Social media!

While Ritesh Deshmukh recently announced a biopic on Chhatrapati Shivaji and promised to make it with utmost care and honest, Bollywood superstar Ajay Devgn has signed on for a film on the life of Taanaji Malusare. A production of Ajay Devgn film Productions and WaterGate Production in association with Dashami Studioz. In 2016, Ajay was honoured by the Government of India with the Padma Shri, which is the fourth highest civilian honour of the country.

The first look poster of Ajay Devgn's period drama looks impressive as the actor is seen defending himslef fiercely in the battlefield. The actor finally revealed the first poster at the stroke of midnight and wrote: "He fought for his People, his Soil & his King Chhatrapati Shivaji.

Talking about the unsung Marathi warrior, Subedar Taanaji Malusare wss a man who fought alongside Chatrapati Shivaji.

Years after playing Indian freedom fighter Shaheed Bhagat Singh, Bollywood star Ajay Devgn will put on his battle gear and go to war as the legendary Maratha warrior, Subhedar Taanaji Malusare. The film is based on the Emergency in 1975 and also stars Emraan Hashmi, Vidyut Jamwal, Sanjay Mishra, Esha Gupta and Ileana D'Cruz.

'Taanaji - The Unsung Warrior' is slated for a worldwide release in 2019.
