Read about the X-Men Dazzler casting news below. Back when it was first rumored that Dazzler would appear in Apocalypse, the internet somehow got into its mind that Taylor Swift should play her after Swift made a random visit to the movie's set during production. Although the character began as a cross-promotion between Marvel Comics and Casablanca Records.

Her powers include bringing funk to the party. Ugh. EW has confirmed that Alison Blaire will be featured in a small role in next year's X-Men: Dark Phoenix.

According to Entertainment Weekly, the talented mutant is going to finally appear in X-Men: Dark Phoenix, where fans will finally be able to see her manipulate light to do whatever she wants.

Of course, this happened close to the same time that Turner posted a photo on Instagram of Jean Grey and Cyclops discussing Dazzler in what ended up being a deleted scene. Alone with Turner and Sheridan, Jennifer Lawrence, James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Nicholas Hoult, Alexander Shipp and Kodi Smit-McPhee will star. Actress Jessica Chastain will play the villain of the film, Lilandra.

Kinberg will also produce the film alongside Lauren Shuler Donner and Hutch Parker. The X-Men comics saw a commercial boom during the '90s, following character redesigns by Jim Lee, which went on to be the basis for the fan-favorite animated series. And who knows, if 20th Century Fox decides to release another entry in the main X-Men film series after Dark Phoenix, maybe Dazzler could have a bigger role in that movie.
