Initially Butt, 27, Redouane, 30, and Zaghba, 22, are seen walking calmly down the street on the CCTV. One passerby was accidentally shot in the head by a police bullet but his condition is not believed to be serious.

The relatives of Butt and the ex-wife of Redouane distanced themselves from the extremists, saying the atrocity had left them shocked. When he did not provide payment details, the rental did not go ahead.

British police have raided a property in east London and arrested another suspect following the assaults in the center of the capital last week. Detectives recovered craft knives from the flat used to cut the leather straps attached to the knives, lighter fluid used in the petrol bombs and other materials linking it directly to the attack. Police said Butt was known to security services but there had been no evidence of "attack planning". "That is why I am not going to criticise the behaviour of others".

One of the men, aged 27, was held on suspicion of the preparation of terrorist acts, while a 33-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply controlled drugs.

"A search of the address is ongoing".
