Landfall somewhere along the Gulf Coast would likely be around Wednesday or Thursday, according to Accuweather. Chris said the system will remain rather weak with winds around 40-45 miles per hour at landfall, but that the storm will contain a lot of moisture.

Tropical Storm Arlene formed in April before the official start of hurricane season.

"Potential Tropical Storm Three will bring minimal impacts to the Tampa Bay area", said Storm Team 8 Meteorologist Julie Phillips.

A Tropical Storm Watch has been issued for areas west of Intracoastal City to High Island, Texas.

Forecasters expect Bret to begin weakening Wednesday as it encounters an upper-level trough in the Caribbean, and it wil eventually degrade to a tropical depression before dissipating over the western Caribbean.

Meanwhile, Tropical Storm Bret is moving along South America's northern coast.

At 11 pm Monday, the centre of Tropical Storm Bret was located near 10.0ºN latitude 61.3ºW longitude near the southern coast of Trinidad. Neither of the storms are expected to reach hurricane strength.

The hurricane center said conditions appear to be good for the low to develop slowly as it moves northwestward and into the Gulf early next week.

The Windward Islands may begin to see gusty winds and heavy rain Monday night or early Tuesday, making outside preparations hard or unsafe by this time.

Tropical storm warnings have been issued for Barbados, St. Vincent and the Grenadines in the Windward Islands. As of Saturday afternoon, this system is still not technically tropical, but has a 30-percent-chance of becoming a tropical system within the next 48 hours; an 80-percent-chance within the next five days.
