This time, Curry, Durant and the rest of the team silenced Cleveland before they had a chance to make more noise.

Curry had 34 points and 10 assists in contributing to the Golden State Warriors victory to wrap up the NBA Final series in Game 5, with a 129-120 win over the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Durant was named the Most Valuable Player of the NBA Finals on Monday after claiming an elusive NBA championship over the Cleveland Cavaliers.

LeBron James has sparked speculation over his future-particularly whether he will remain with the Cleveland Cavaliers-after the team lost the NBA Finals Monday night.

The addition of arguably the most lethal scorer in National Basketball Association history then made Golden State nothing short of a superteam on paper and after a 83-16 record throughout the 2016-17 season, including a almost ideal 16-1 effort in the playoffs, the Warriors proved to be just that.

That pushed Golden State to add Durant as a free agent last July and the results have been devastating.

James, who in 2012 with Miami beat the Thunder in Durant's only other Finals, wound up with 41 points, 13 rebounds and eight assists. "So for me personally I have no reason to put my head down", he said.

"They call us a super team but there has been a lot of super teams that haven't work".

This is obviously all speculation, but there's one accomplishment others can't take away from the Warriors.

Not many were happy with Kevin Durant's decision to join Golden State Warriors previous year.

"We're going down as one of the best teams ever and that's a special thing you can not take away from us", Warriors reserve Andre Iguodala said.

"Experience is the best teacher in life, and he's just experiencing and experiencing and experiencing", James said. While fans in the audience chanted "say you're sorry!" at Smith, he conceded and offered a good-hearted "I'm sorry" to Wanda while she smiled and laughed.

Who was the better team? "No matter what anybody said, you did it". "That's the type of guy that I want to be with every single time". "I'm proud of you son".

"Obviously, there's a lot of hoopla and fanfare that follows you wherever you go, but I know where my talent comes from", he said in an interview with Decision.
