Shadow of the Tomb Raider concept art leaked by creative firm

A California-based marketing company called Take Off a published a set of Shadow of the Tomb Raider concept art, which basically all but confirms the game is real.

According to Kotaku, a description from a cached version of the page reads, "Through sketches and renders, we explored varying concepts for the Shadow of the Tomb Raider logo and key art".

Late past year, we first caught wind of the next game in the Tomb Raider series, after someone working on the game left their laptop open on the subway.

With the success of the 2015 Tomb Raider reboot and its sequel, Rise of the Tomb Raider, it won't come as too much of a surprise that there might be a third entry in this new series.

The Tomb Raider franchise may have skipped E3 2017, but that doesn't mean the game isn't still in production behind closed doors. However, Internet sleuthers were quick to take screenshots ahead of time, so the leak hasn't been buried.

This is significant because the cell phone leaker claimed to have taken the photo in Montreal, which may point to the Takeoff Creative Montreal design studio being the branch assigned to work on Shadow of the Tomb Raider. Additionally, the art shows pyramids for Lara to explore. However, there has been some talk of this being a spin-off game rather than something made by the Crystal Dynamics A-team.
