Same starters for Game 2 of the NBA Finals

The highly anticipated 2017 NBA Finals rage forward on Sunday, as the Cleveland Cavaliers look to even the series at one apiece in Game 2 against the Golden State Warriors.

"They're the best I've ever seen", an upset Lue said Thursday night at the interview podium after the Golden State Warriors had recorded a resounding 113-91 victory in Game 1 of the NBA Finals. "If I score six points a game and it gets us four wins and an National Basketball Association championship, I can do that every year".

It may sound like simple common sense, but it's a good point-Golden State doesn't have to adjust to what Cleveland is doing at this point.

OAKLAND-Steve Kerr did not lose his sense of humour or sense of self-deprecation during an extended absence as head coach of the Golden State Warriors. It was a fairly unexpected announcement, but it was great to see him back out there and Oracle Arena did not disappoint in their welcome. Kevin Love caught fire early, assisting James with 27 points and 7rebounds. We love his voice. "We're a full group when he's out here". "So that means a lot".

Golden State improved to 14-0 this postseason to keep alive a chance of becoming the first group to go unbeaten to a title.

Thompson emerged from a postseason-long shooting funk to score 22 points with four 3-pointers while playing more stellar defense and pulling down seven rebounds for the Warriors, who shot 18 for 43 from deep.

"KD", said the Cleveland Cavaliers All-Star and four-time league MVP.

"I think that's how Cleveland is going to approach it, make it a physical game", Michael Cooper, now the coach of the WNBA's Atlanta Dream who went through some Lakers-Celtics battles as a player in the 1980s, said before the series began. The Cavaliers will try to get back in the series at home in Wednesday's Game 3. You don't want to get into a track meet and only run opportunistically. "'. Maybe get a little teary-eyed".

"I feel like it's back where it was before the Portland series", Kerr said. "Just get focused on Game 2", James told reporters.

He was even seen huffing and puffing as he went to the bench at one point in the third quarter. "We just need to execute them", Love said.

"Well, it's been a great run but none of that matters unless we can finish the job with this series", Kerr said. "That's what we come to expect every year now". Much of that was from the free-throw line where he shot a ideal 14-of-14.

It didn't matter in the end.

Durant scored 38 points and dunked easily, six times in the first half alone and many of which he went untouched to the rim. Cleveland shot 3 of 20 on 3s in the first half and 8 for 29 total.

LeBron James has eschewed being interviewed at the podium during the NBA Finals for the time being because he's grown frustrated having to wait while opposing players and coaches take questions. This was precisely the pitch Golden State's contingent made to Durant when the team met with him in free agency last July in the Hamptons. He hadn't reached double figures in points or rebounds this year in the first two games combined. It also matched Paul Pierce for most in a Finals quarter. "It's just us focusing that much more on the game plan and knowing how we have to play". Assists_Cleveland 15 (James 8), Golden State 31 (Curry 10).
