Police received the first call of reports of a vehicle hitting pedestrians on London Bridge at 10:08 p.m. (2108 GMT).

A white van driver came speeding probably about 50 miles per hour veered off the road into the crowds of people who were walking along the pavement, an eye-witness was quoted by the report.

She said she had just finished breaking her fast when she saw through her window police circling the area.

Then came the May 22 Manchester concert bombing.

Another witness, who gave his name as Alessandro, also told BBC radio that he saw a van strike several people on London Bridge.

Italian photographer Gabriele Sciotto, who was watching the Champions League final at the Wheatsheaf pub in Borough Market, said he saw three men being shot just outside the pub.

The three suspects were shot by armed police within eight minutes of the first call to the emergency services. One of the assassins stabbed him with a knife in the face, reported the British news agency PA. Islamic State claimed the Westminster and the Manchester attacks, and has traditionally encouraged followers to carry out strikes during the holy month of Ramadan. There, the three men went on stabbing spree before being shot dead by police.

Britain's ruling Conservatives said Sunday they were suspending their campaign for Thursday's general election after six people died in a suspected terror attack in London.

"It appeared that her throat had been cut", he told the BBC. There was a line of people going down to the emergency exit. They later cordoned the area with tape. And then there were another four or five bodies that I saw, individuals lying again in many cases majority were still on the bridge.
