A teenage Palestinian girl who was shot by Israeli troops after she stabbed a soldier in the occupied West Bank died of her wounds in hospital on Friday, Israel's military and a medical center spokeswoman said.

Such projects were put on hold for US President Donald Trump's visit to Israel and the West Bank last week, the Times of Israel reported. No Israeli government, however, has turned its back on the settlers. Most of the global community deems Israeli settlements to be illegal. "There's no one who cares more about the settlement enterprise than Prime Minister Netanyahu". During that time, some 246 Palestinians died by Israeli fire; Israel has said a lot of them were attackers. However this number includes more than 250,000 Israelis living in Jewish neighborhoods in East Jerusalem, which Israel annexed and does not consider to be settlements.

The attack occurred during the Muslim month of Ramadan, during which the IDF fears there will be an intensification of Palestinian terror attacks as a result of augmented incitement at the mosques and the increase in religious fervor. Palestinians say attacks stem from frustration from decades of Israeli rule in territory they claim for their state.

"At a minimum, the European Union must continue to advance its measures to differentiate between Israel and its settlements, in order to ensure the full and effective non-recognition of Israel's unlawful practices in the OPT, including its settlement activity", Lovatt said.
