LeBron James most likely won't be playing in the new 3-on-3 competition at the 2020 Olympics.

"I think it's great for basketball", James is quoted by ESPN. "I think that we should be celebrating excellence". "I haven't seen the full layout of how they plan on executing it; and are they going got use National Basketball Association guys or are they going to use college guys?" But his refusal to acknowledge reality in the aftermath of Game 5 Monday shows he still has a petulant side, even if he keeps it under wraps most of the time. "It was so much fun and it's so fast-paced".

If he did play, James revealed that his dream teammates would be Michael Jordan and Magic Johnson.

James has won two gold medals with Team USA in 2008 and 2012.

As LeBron James of the Cleveland Cavaliers and Draymond Green of the Golden State Warriors gear up for game 5 in Oakland on Monday night, National Basketball Association fans were treated to a 30-minute barbershop conversation that showed a different side to the uber competitive set. "So, probably not. I probably won't be a part of the 3-on-3 matchup that it has to offer". I think that can be like that for 3-on-3.

He won't be participating himself, but LeBron did share his excitement regarding the future event, telling reporters he thinks it's great for the sport.

It looks like you can add skipping out on 3-on-3 Olympic basketball to the list of complaints.

LeBron James may be the best player on the planet but he doesn't play for the best team. "We set a lot of records since we kind of assembled this team the last couple years".

They kept it up in the second quarter, taking an 86-68 lead into halftime as their 3-pointers continued to find the bottom of the net.

It'll be interesting to see what caliber of players do represent the US in 3-on-3.

It's not clear if James shares the view of Cavs coach Tyronn Lue and team owner Dan Gilbert that the proverbial "gap" between Cleveland and the Warriors is small. The Celtics, who acquired Kevin Garnett and Ray Allen in 2007, started the whole Super Team phenomenon. During the off-season, you will surely read how James wants a better big man than Kevin Love and other scorers, passers and rebounders to compete with a team that will be even more heavily favored to win again in 2018. That provided those on the internet to come up with some wonderful 3-1 memes, playing off of what happened previous year, but can the Cavs truly make this a series?

With Russell Westbrook setting a new National Basketball Association record for the most triple-doubles in a season - while also becoming the first player since Oscar Robertson to average a triple-double for a whole season - and the National Basketball Association as a whole setting a new record for triple-doubles in a season, 2016-17 was officially the season of triple-doubles.
