Some Cosby supporters allege that racial bias is a motivating factor behind the accusations of sexual assault against "America's Dad". They were bused in from Allegheny County near Pittsburgh and have been sequestered for the trial. Lili Bernard, a Cosby accuser who has been present in court during the trial, got into a fierce argument with a man who supported Cosby on the courthouse steps.

The disgraced comedian is now awaiting a final verdict as a 12-person jury deliberates on whether he will be found guilty of three counts of criminal indecent assault against Andrea Constand, who claims she was sexually molested by Cosby in 2004.

After jurors in the Bill Cosby trial had deliberated for about 31 hours, they told the judge they were deadlocked.

USA Today reports that crying was heard in the courtroom as the jury announced that it was deadlocked on all three counts after some 30 hours of deliberation. Cosby is charged with sexually assaulting Andrea Constand at his home in suburban Philadelphia in 2004.

In a 2005 deposition, Cosby described giving Constand pills before engaging in sexual contact with her.

"They're conflicted about the inconsistencies in Ms. Constand's testimony", spokesman Andrew Wyatt said. “And theyre hearing Mr. C.s testimony and hes extremely truthful. All the defense has to do is create a reasonable doubt in the jury's mind that Cosby is maybe not a serial rapist.

Constands lawyer, Dolores Troiani, said only that the “jury is apparently working very hard.” The district attorneys office declined to comment. The video is inscribed with the words, "Always follow through". At the time, Constand served as the director of operations for Temple University's women's basketball team. "This is talking to a lover", McMonagle said, accusing Constand of trying to use Cosby's name for financial gain.

Ferrier accused Cosby in 2005 of drugging and sexual assault. But the atmosphere remains calm, with accusers and supporters even holding hands.

"We can not come to a unanimous consensus on any of the counts", jurors wrote in a note to Judge Steven T. O'Neill. But for now, jurors must reconvene and try to come to a unanimous decision. The jury, which has been deliberating since late Monday afternoon, has on multiple occasions requested the rereading of transcripts from the trial.

"If after further deliberations you are still deadlocked on some or all of the charges, you should report that to me", O'Neill told jurors, who then resumed their deliberations.

The Cosby jury has given no insight to the judge as to the cause of their impasse.

We'll bring you more as the case continues. "It doesn't surprise me that this jury is split".

The prosecution spent a week presenting its case, and the defense less than a day.

The sequestered jurors have appeared increasingly exhausted and upset as deliberations dragged on.

Jurors made the request to have portions of Andrea Constand's testimony read back to them but ended the day without a verdict in a case that has already helped demolish Cosby's nice-guy reputation.

"Many of us think there's one holdout keeping things from moving forward", Valentino told AFP.

Outside the courthouse, Constand's lawyers blasted the Cosby team Tuesday for releasing a statement from a woman who had been blocked from testifying at the trial.
