Donald Trump Woke Up and Had Some Name Calling for Breakfast

US President Donald Trump on Friday branded his former FBI director a "leaker", a day after James Comey gave testimony in which he accused Trump of trying to quash an investigation and lying about him and the FBI.

Sen. Susan Collins, a moderate Republican, said Congress needs to obtain any tapes the president might have of his dealings with the former Federal Bureau of Investigation director. That does not comport with Sessions rationale when he announced his recusal in early March.

CNN reported that Comey told senators in the closed hearing that Sessions may have had a third interaction with Sergey Kislyak. He is a good guy.

"Well, I'll tell you about that maybe sometime in the very near future", Trump said.

Fired FBI Director James Comey has said there should be "no fuzz" about Russia's role in influencing the 2016 USA election that brought Donald Trump to the White House, as he cited a "campaign driven from the top of that government" with goal and technical sophistication.

Sens. Patrick Leahy, D-Vt., and Al Franken, D-Minn., last week released a letter urging the FBI to investigate whether Sessions had falsely testified under oath when he said at his January confirmation hearing that he hadn't had any contacts with Russian Federation.

The question is why Sessions recused himself.

The revelations came as Comey delivered his much anticipated first public telling of his relationship with Trump, speaking at a packed Senate intelligence committee hearing that brought Washington and parts of the country to a standstill as all eyes were glued to televisions showing the testimony.

"On March 2, I said he should resign as attorney general", Pelosi told a regular weekly news conference after being asked about her level of confidence in Sessions.

Sen. Ron Wyden, D-Ore., said he could "spend a lot of time on this in the days ahead".

Comey added an element of intrigue to the hearings when he said he knew of a "variety of reasons" why Attorney General Jeff Sessions' involvement in the Russian Federation investigation would be problematic but that he couldn't discuss those reasons "in an open setting".

Comey didn't agree to almost three hours public of hearings to talk about whether the president was/is under investigation by the FBI, as it relates to Russian Federation meddling in the US election. But just below the surface, as Rachel explained on the show last night, there are some layers to the contest of credibility between Trump and Comey. Comey said, referencing his claim that Trump once cleared everyone out of the room to talk to the former FBI director about dropping the Flynn investigation.

"Whether it rises to criminality, I think there's significant doubts about whether it rises to that level", he said.

"In this morning's tweet, My Trump said: ".and WOW, Comey is a leaker!"

The Justice Department again on Thursday said no such meeting ever took place.

Here are some of the top disclosures from Comey's appearance before the Senate Intelligence Committee.

The White House stood behind Sessions.

"You may have taken it as a direction, but that's not what he said", said Sen.
