Vladimir Putin Willing To Release Transcript Of Meeting With Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.

Citing anonymous officials, USA media reported on May 15 that during his May 10 meeting with Lavrov, Trump had disclosed highly classified information received from a us ally - reportedly Israel - about a planned operation by the extremist group Islamic State (IS).

Some experts argue that divulging material that is so highly classified that the USA intelligence community had not even divulged it to allies, let alone an adversary power such as Russian Federation, could constitute a violation of the presidential oath of office.

The top lawmakers on the Senate Judiciary Committee sent a letters to acting FBI Director Andrew McCabe and White House counsel Don McGahn on Wednesday seeking any memos or tapes regarding former FBI Director James Comey's meetings with President Donald Trump. Central to them is the idea of intent or bad objective, or what Trump may have been thinking when he allegedly told Comey in February that "I hope you can let this go".

Following Comey's abrupt dismissal, Trump contradicted his communications staff on the reason for firing him and admitted it was partially because of how Comey was handling the Russian investigation, touching off obstruction of justices allegations.

Angry over the steady stream of leaks from within his administration, he suggested that Comey jail journalists for publishing classified information and expressed his hope that the FBI director would drop the ongoing investigation into Flynn.

The vice president and two spokesmen for the White House said Comey was removed from office on recommendations from Justice Department leaders, who were unhappy with his handling of the Hillary Clinton email investigation in 2016.

Hours after a news report that President Trump had asked the FBI director to back away from an investigation, Democrats seized on the information to accuse the White House of a serious crime. "In order to gain that credibility, it may be that we need to look to an independent commission or special prosecutor", she continued. But the swirling questions about his conduct were clearly on his mind when he told graduates at the US Coast Guard Academy in CT that "no politician in history, and I say this with great surety, has been treated worse or more unfairly". The Flynn investigation was part of a broader probe into Russian interference in last year's presidential election. According to John McCain, Trump's scandals are "reaching Watergate size and scale".

Do you think the information in the Comey memo is true?

Chairman Richard Burr, a North Carolina Republican, and Vice Chairman Mark Warner, a Democrat from Virginia, said they have asked Comey to testify before the panel in both open and closed sessions.

The Trump administration has denied that Trump said what it is being claimed he said in the memo. He is a good guy.

When asked about the issue, Representative Justin Amash, of MI, said interfering in an FBI investigation into Mr Flynn could be the basis of such a case "if the allegations are true".
