The CW Moves Riverdale, Jane the Virgin, Arrow

Get ready for some catfights!

Taking Arrow's place on Wednesdays at 8 the Archie comics-based Riverdale which will serve as a lead in to the network's upcoming reboot of Dynasty.

"'Arrow" withstands the National Football League", said network president Mark Pedowitz in a conference call with reporters Thursday morning.

On Tuesday night, Legends of Tomorrow will settle into the 9 p.m. ET time slot on a now permanent basis - a time slot the show moved to at the end of Season 2 after spending most of its time on Thursdays. "We felt it was a very different audience than "This Is Us'".

Well, it doesn't sound like he's disappointed with his new digs, but it will be interesting to see if Supernatural stars Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles feel the same way about Arrow. Valor is "the best version of what we could do", he said.

The new military drama "Valor" will take over its timeslot at 9 p.m.

The CW will be moving its superhero drama Arrow to Thursday nights at 9 p.m. when the series returns for Season 6 this fall.

The rest of Greg Berlanti's superhero dramas stay intact, with Supergirl still on Mondays at 8 p.m., followed by new military drama Valor at 9 p.m. ET.

The soap will update the tale of the fabulously wealthy Colbys and Carringtons for a new generation. For midseason, we have the heartwarming comedy Life Sentence, starring Lucy Hale, a terrific actress; and we have the exciting new series Black Lightning, based on the DC character.

Esther and John Shapiro, creators of the original series, are also involved as executive producers. As for the possibility of bringing back returning cast members, like Linda Evans or Joan Collins, Pedowitz is "completely open to it", but had no announcements to make.
