For those who are blissfully ignoring our country being torn apart at its seams, last night brought one of the biggest revelations of Donald Trump's presidency-that he allegedly asked former FBI director James Comey to drop his investigation into former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn's ties to Russian Federation before firing Comey.

Before Comey was sacked, the ex-FBI director reportedly asked Rosenstein for more resources with which to conduct the Russian Federation investigation.

Such specifics in the memos were reported Tuesday, May 17, by the New York Times. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell lamented how the "drama" from the report would slow down the Republican conference's packed legislative agenda, and House Speaker Paul Ryan repeated calls for a thorough investigation.

Trump has come under fire following news reports that he shared sensitive intelligence about the Islamic State militants with Lavrov and Russian ambassador Sergei Kislyak during a meeting at the White House. In December he penned a letter with Republican Rep. Walter Jones of North Carolina, asking former President Barack Obama for a classified briefing on any evidence that Russian Federation tampered with the 2016 elections. The West Michigan libertarian firebrand is one of two House Republicans supporting Democratic legislation to form an independent commission to investigate allegations into Russian Federation and its reach in the US presidential election.

Russian President Vladimir Putin said Wednesday that he is ready to provide the U.S. Senate a transcript of last week's controversial Oval Office meeting between President Trump and Russian foreign minister Sergei Lavrov that is at the center of allegations that Trump revealed highly classified information.

Now Amash joins Democrats in acknowledging that impeachment is a possible course of action.
