Filip Forsberg scored a goal in Tuesday's 2-1 win over the Anaheim Ducks in Game 3 of the Western Conference Final.

Forsberg scored his fifth playoff goal at 7:59 for a 3-2 Nashville edge, but Kase tied it again with his first postseason goal at 10:41 of the second.

Goaltender Pekka Rinne #35 of the Nashville Predators can't make the save on a slapshot by Sami Vatanen #45 of the Anaheim Ducks in the first period of Game Two of the Western Conference Final during the 2017 Stanley Cup Playoffs at Honda Center on May 14, 2017 in Anaheim, California.

NOTES: After going 0-for-20 on the power play over six consecutive games, Anaheim scored a power-play goal for the second straight contest.

The Ducks had been 5-0-0 in games they led after the second period, but the Predators didn't let them extend that streak.

At his meeting with the media Monday, Ducks coach Randy Carlyle shrugged off Johansen's comments. The Anaheim Ducks have allowed three or less goals in seven of their last eight games. Forsberg collected the rebound of Ryan Ellis' shot not far from the Anaheim net and threw the puck into a crowded crease to score for the third straight game. "Go Preds! Hoping they can get to the finals, that would be awesome", he said recently.

Gibson was helpless on the game victor, which was set up when a shot by Ekholm hit teammate Viktor Arvidsson and caromed to Josi in the right circle. Forward Jakob Silfverberg, who scored 23 times during the regular season, led Anaheim with five shots on net and notched his eighth goal of the postseason to tie captain Ryan Getzlaf for the team lead.

Corey Perry soothed any agitated Ducks fans at the 15:35 mark when he gave Anaheim the lead on the power play.

"I mean he just blows my mind", Johansen, who took a high-sticking penalty on Kesler, said of the extra treatment he's received from the Anaheim centre.

Therefore the Ducks will have trouble advancing past the Predators to the 2017 Stanley Cup Finals. "But we know how important these games are and every one gets more important as we go forward and tonight's response after getting down 2-0 was a character builder for our group".

Game 3 is Tuesday night in Nashville, where the Predators have won nine straight playoff games dating to past year, including a league-best 5-0 this postseason. According to Sportsnet Stats, the team had won all seven games in which he registered a point at home in the postseason. The Ducks were emotionally spent to open Game 1 and were skated around the Honda Center surface by the rested and energized Predators.

"You've got to be in here to feel the energy", Josi said. "A few of the goals they crashed the net - good plays - but they just ended up going in". "It's nearly like we feel, 'Oh, we've got nothing to lose now.' It's nearly like that's when we play our best game".

Nashville dominated the tired Ducks, and Forsberg forced a turnover on a forecheck before tipping Matt Irwin's shot through Gibson for his fourth goal. Vatanen's goal came on the powerplay which has been weak part of the Ducks' game lately.

Anaheim had led 1-0 through 40 minutes but lost for the first time in the postseason when defending a lead in the third period. "We understand that if you take your foot off the gas, you probably won't like the result". Ron Hainsey hit the crossbar early and Patric Hornqvist dinged the left post but that's as close as Pittsburgh would get to slipping one by Anderson.
