As part of its embracing other ecosystems, Microsoft announced new additions to its Windows Store - including, surprise, iTunes.

The iTunes app will offer users full iPhone support and access to Apple Music, as well as the iTunes Store.

Why is this a big deal? "That's the principle behind several of the new features that will begin to roll out with the Fall Creators Update", Terry Myerson, Microsoft Executive VP for Windows and devices, wrote in a blog post detailing the update.

Other features of the update include Story Mix, which is created to make video editing easier. The main focus of the update is on cross-device experiences.

At last night's Bild Conference being held in Seattle, Apple said that they will release iTunes on the Windows Store.

Day one of the Build conference was true to its developer core, with over two hours of news on cloud computing, enterprise-level databases, artificial intelligence and machine learning unveils.

Microsoft No Longer Supports Original Build Of Windows 10

Microsoft unveiled its next major Windows 10 update today, including new features created to unify the experience across Windows 10, Android and iOS - a new strategy that aims to reposition the flagship operating system for an era in which it no longer dominates the larger world of computing. You'll be able to apply cinematic transitions, change themes and the soundtrack, and add 3D objects to turn your story into a mixed reality masterpiece-well, that's Microsoft's hopeful reality anyway.

Windows 10 Creators Update now powers over 500 million Windows 10 devices around the world. The update is being called "The Fall Creators Update" and it is expected later this year. Clipboard syncs your clipboard content across devices over the cloud, allowing you to copy on one device and paste on another.

A Timeline feature will let you visualize the files, apps, and websites you've previously engaged in so that you can easily return to those experiences.
