'We all want to achieve stuff, ' the midfielder said. "These days, if you do not go now, you have to be there in preseason". It's not changed too much because if we had beaten Chelsea, we'd be playing in the FA Cup final.

"I'm always going to be thinking about what's going to get the best out of me, and if that's going to be at Tottenham or if I have to leave it's just important I enjoy the journey and don't get too anxious about how it's going to end". It's good for the club to be there.

"I think today, I can not be thinking about moving to another club. It is a very different project to maybe other clubs at our level in the table". 'It's a good place to be and with the manager we've got here, I can't see many better places for me personally to improve. The rumours in the media are wrong. "This group of players deserves trophies".

Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino has ended speculation over his future, amid suggestions of a buy-out clause in his contract, by committing to Spurs for at least another season.

However, Pochettino later said the position would be "impossible" for him to take as a former Espanyol coach.

He explained: "Next season and during the summer we need to find a way to inspire [the players], to motivate them to push further in our performances and to find different ways to play".

Kane is unmoved by such talk and says Spurs' trajectory makes them as attractive as virtually any club in the world.

"I think I understand what he is trying to say".

Mauricio Pochettino's side came up short in the title race for the second successive year after Chelsea repelled their determined challenge in the same way Leicester City frustrated them 12 months ago. "I did not listen to him, but I think he is committed to the club - I did not hear his interview properly". "We have been talking a lot over the last few days to give the best possible rest but also be responsible". It's so hard. People talk about if Tottenham are in the Champions League they are more attractive, but then it's about if you pay them.

"It is hard because their point of view is different to our point of view which is different from the club's point of view".
