Fox has released the second full trailer for its X-Men-inspired series The Gifted, which is centered on a group of young mutants joining an underground network of their kind. The Gifted has a full series order, so we can expect to see a full season (although the number of episodes is unknown at this time) to air on FOX this fall. Forced to go on the run, the Struckers must leave behind their old lives to flee from a relentless government agency that tracks down mutants, the Sentinel Services, which includes Agent JACE TURNER (Coby Bell, "Burn Notice"). Take a look at the trailer here... However, amongst all of the family drama, there will still be more than enough action sequences and flashy mutant powers on display to satiate even the most ardent comic book fans. Singer also works as executive producer on the rest of the series, alongside Lauren Shuler Donner, Simon Winberg, Jim Chory and Jeph Loeb.

"The Gifted" stars Stephen Moyer (True Blood) as Reed Strucker while Amy Acker plays his wife, Caitlin Strucker. The Gifted is the second partnership between Marvel Television and Fox after Legion made a splash of FX earlier this year. So it seems like, before discovering his children were mutants, Reed's job was hunting them down and imprisoning them. Trust, I'm gassing this just a bit, but it is an interesting thing to point out as Marvel and DC continue to cultivate their television properties over various channels; they are bound to butt heads.

My initial impression of the show was "oh no, not another Bryan Singer X-Men franchise".

What we do know, however, is Sean Teale will be playing the proton-bending Eclipse, Emma Dumont will play Magneto-lite in Polaris, Blair Redford is Thunderbird, a superhuman marine, and Jamie Chung will play the teleport Blink.
