Xiaomi may introduce 128GB storage variant of the Mi Max 2. The company took to its website today to advertise its Mi Max 2, which will be fully unveiled on May 25. Xiaomi has also teased the launch on Weibo.

In terms of specifications, Xiaomi Mi Max 2 will continue to feature the massive 6.4-inch full HD resolution display we saw on the earlier phone. Mi Max successor aka Mi Max 2 has been subjected to several leaks ahead of the launch which does reveal a lot about the device. Everything about the Mi Max 2 is a puzzle, yet bits of rumours have portrayed what's in store in the gadget. Xiaomi keeps up the tradition of launching the mobiles in China first and then to other markets. In addition, it is expected to have a 12 MP rear camera with Auto focus as well as a 5 MP front sensor. Like the Mi Max, the successor model will also have a metal unibody outline and a finger print sensor put at the back. It won't come to the Europe or the United States but still it would have significant place in other markets. The Mi Max 2 is a mid-range device that will command an even lower price tag than the Xiaomi Mi 6, and it's expected to come in two versions, one with a Snapdragon 625 system chip and one with the newest Snapdragon 660 processor.

Other rumors have also suggested that the smartphone is going to feature a 12MP rear shooter, with a fingerprint reader mounted at the back. As far as the connectivity options are concerned, the Mi Max came with USB OTG, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, Infrared, FM, 3G and 4G and sensors like Accelerometer, Proximity sensor, Ambient light sensor and Gyroscope. On top of that both devices will run on Android 7.1.1 Nougat with MIUI 8 (or MIUI 9?). As you can see, the Xiaomi Mi Max 2 will be quite a large smartphone, just like its predecessor, as they share the display size.
